Sashastra Seema Bal rescued 15 children from Human Trafficking cartel in Raxaul, Bihar

New Delhi (27th November, 2017):  In its ongoing crusade against menace of human trafficking,  Sashastra Seema Bal have been uninterruptedly conducting Anti Human trafficking operations  on Indo-Nepal and Indo-Bhutan Border. On 25/11/2017 in a joint operation, 47th Battalion SSB, Pantoka, Bihar with Area Organiser, SSB, Ramgarhwa, RPF Raxaul and  NGO Prayas rescued 15 minors  at Railway station Raxaul. The children were taken from Raxaul to Mumbai for child labour by Train No.15267 JANSADHARAN EXPRESS.

Rescued children are minors and in the age group of 11 to 16 years. 09 children are resident of Bihar, India and 06 others belong to Nepal.  The rescued children were handed over to NGO “Prayas”.

Leading a campaign against human traffickers on Indo-Nepal Border and Indo-Bhutan Border, SSB has rescued  570 victims and apprehended 162 human traffickers in  142  cases in the year 2017 whereas  in the year 2016, SSB has rescued 533 victims and apprehended 160 human traffickers in 87 cases.
