SSB CARRIED OUT CIVIC ACTION PROGRAMME IN FLOOD HIT AREAS OF INDO- BHUTAN BORDER IN ASSAM

 

            The recent heavy downpour which caused massive flood, erosion and havoc among the people has made the villagers residing on Indo-Bhutan border in Kokrajhar and Chirang District of Assam, homeless and forced them to take refuge in the relief camps. They were struggling to get drinking water, medical and veterinary aid for themselves and their lives stocks. Sashastra Seema Bal, Guwahati Frontier through its Medical and Veterinary Civic Action Programme came forward to provide aid to the marooned people. 16th Battalion  of SSB Raniguli, Kokrajhar  and 15th Battalion Chirang were pushed to help the people beside rescue and relief. Medical and Veterinary teams of these Battalions moved in different villages of the border and provided Medical & Veterinary aid to the people. It helps District Administration in establishing Medical camps at various locations.
